OLYMPIC OPEN 2009 is coming up - 09/05/2009!

We are happy to inform you that on 9 May 2009 Taekwondo club ZLATNI LJILJANI Sarajevo is organizing the 4th International Taekwondo Championship OLYMPIC OPEN for cadets, juniors and seniors, which will take place in Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The new features of the OLYMPIC OPEN 2009 include the following:
ADIDAS electronic body protectors will be utilized (by cadets and juniors)
The award for the overall winner will be 1000 €

The organizing committee of the OLYMPIC OPEN has aranged a very suitable accommodation at the hotel near the sports hall. The teams should directly contact the organizer Mr. Ahmet Dilek at +387 61 524 592 or via e-mail olympicopenbih@yahoo.com. The accommodation for one person including breakfast is 25 euro per day and this price is only valid in case of reservations through the organizer. The teams that have applied so far : Iranian national team with cadets, juniors and seniors; Turkish national team with cadets, juniors and seniors; teams from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Romania.
Sarajevo is a beautiful Olympic city since 1984, when it was the host for the Winter Olympic Games. Today, Sarajevo is ready for new sport challenges, and it longs to host new guests who will awaken its Olympic spirit. Even the name of this championship has been inspired by our wish to accomplish this, especially through TAEKWONDO, an Olympic martial art.
We are expecting of this championship to become one of the largest and best organized gatherings of young and talented athletes from all over the world, and the interest of many countries for our first three gatherings, promises that we will eventually reach our long-term goal.
