"Zlatni Ljiljani" bring first medals in 2009
On Saturday, 14 February 2009 7th International Taekwondo Championship M-2 was held in Vrbovec - Croatia, with 480 participants from 5 countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Germany and Slovenia. Taekwondo club ZLATNI LJILANI participated with 5 athletes who won the following 4 medals:
GOLD medals and the titles of international champion were won by:
• Elmedin Cekrlija, (cadet -37kg) – after 5 fights in which his opponents did not make even one point. All fights were finished with the result 7:0 for Elmedin, with the only exception of semi-finals which finished with 5:0. It is especially important to mention his final fight in which he beat his opponent with 7:0 difference in only 40 seconds.
• Mirnesa Fetahovic, (cadet -33kg), after 2 fights which both resulted with 7:0 for Mirnesa.
BRONZE medals were won by:
• Amila Karšic, (cadet -37kg); after two won fights,
• Dino Gledo, (senior -67kg); after one won fight.
